How to Cook?

As per with most food products, since it's unpasteurized you want to cook it to an internal temperature of 74 Celcius. How you go about that is up to you, there are many ways tempeh can be prepared!

Our favourite ways are to chop a block in half for 2 tempeh burger patties, slice it thinly for sandwiches or wraps, dice it up for some salads or slice it in triangles for delicious tempeh steaks!

Since tempeh, at its core is simply beans and a type of fungi that binds it, we find it's basically a flavour sponge. More marinades and dry rubs will work really well with it. Check out the following recipes for ideas on how to work with our tempeh!
